The mother behind the champion

What does it take to help a child believe in herself when the world does not yet see her strength? The Mother Behind the Champion is Dildora Kurbanova’s deeply personal account of her daughter Dilnura’s remarkable journey from a quiet, uncertain child facing early challenges to a determined young taekwondo athlete. But this is not simply a story about medals, competitions or becoming a champion. It is a story about motherhood, patience, belief and the countless decisions made when no one can promise what the outcome will be. Through victories and defeats, difficult diagnoses, school struggles, demanding training and moments of doubt, Dildora continued to see something in her daughter that Dilnura had not yet learned to see in herself.
